Confidence vote: bosses warn of "paralysis" of businesses

If the vote of confidence organized in the National Assembly is causing many concerns among the French, who also believe that François Bayrou's time at Matignon is numbered , the bosses also share this feeling.
Jean-Baptiste Achard, founder of the startup StaffMed, is among those who have expressed their concerns. "This political instability is causing a freeze in the French economy, which is very bad, because this freeze is leading to a drop in investment and a freeze in recruitment," he explained in Anaïs Matin .
A harmful situation for French companies, which "lack visibility" and experience difficulties in managing their activity.
The situation is nothing new. In 2022, the majority was already unclear, and Prime Ministers came and went. This has created a certain "paralysis," according to the boss, whose clients are businesses.

"We see that they are slowing down their recruitment because they are in a period of uncertainty. They don't know where to put their investments. All of this is accompanied by a drop in consumption," observes Jean-Baptiste Achard.
The boss also believes that the fall of François Bayrou's government will not change anything in the short term. "The solution would rather be dissolution , to have a clear majority that could give the country a direction and allow business leaders to have visibility," he believes.
An option that is becoming increasingly likely. The answer will be available in the coming weeks.
